Ever since spadester gave us the create table feature gameplay has changed. User's just don't bid there hands anymore and it's more of a bag out game more than a card game now. I doubt mind the 1 or 2 bags but this excessive bagging is ridiculous. Every player gets bagged out now in one game played almost. People don't try to set anyone anymore because they're scared to get bags, it's like we're not even playing spades and it's really not even fun anymore. Hell i've lost over $500 in the past 2 days, not because of losing to better players but because I lost the bagging game and I actually try to set people when the time is appropiate, not when there is a 9 or 10 bid, it's pointless. I just don't understand why when the point total for games went up the gameplan changed for everyone.

I feel like I should respond to this, especially since you and I just played a 300 point game together:

I don't see much of a difference in the gameplay. I like the longer games because I feel that the longer the game is, the players with the most skill have a better chance of winning. I hate playing individual games to 100 or even 150 because if someone gets two good hands in a row, the game is over before anyone else has a chance. Anyone could win a "game" like that. A longer game takes more skill because you have to know when you should bag and when you should try for a set. It's really about feeling out your opponents, in my opinion. I've been playing here since August and I begged these guys to have rooms up to higher scores so I feel it is long overdue.

Spades can be a very cruel game--sometimes you do can make every bid perfectly, without any bags, and still lose. At some point, you need a good hand to catch up...but it doesn't always happen. Bags are always a part of the game, frustrating as it may be.

It's sort of like baseball...every spades, or cards player for that matter, goes into a slump at some point. When you start changing the way you play that's when you get into trouble.

I agree... I just hate when players play a race against time rather than using hands for the win... In other words, I played a 30 min game, instead of everyone just bidding and playing their hand for a win, the other 3 players would let the play timer run all the way down then play a card, why not just play the cards and screw the timer, it shouldnt take 30 mins for an 8 round game unless cards are being dealt evenly the whole game. Can people just play a card once its their turn, rather than the 4 or 5 sec wait then an throw? But still.... I LOVE THIS GAMEA!
