How about some sound? Especially to signal when the game is ready, in case you're waiting for people to join, and are not looking at the screen. I like the feature yahoo has where I hear a dink every time it's my turn to play.

Dear Kever, The next software version will have sound in it :) As of today, we have chat amongst players at Spadester. Upon your request we can send you your win/loss records but as far as seeing other profiles, it would take time since it includes private information. Best Regards, Stephen Jones

2 changes that are needed include a timeout player feature and a specific throwaway card in cut. It is very annoying when a player quits and we are forced to wait 10 seconds for each card to be played. If they haven't played a card in 2 consecutive turns, then they should be timed out and a card thrown immediately by the program. Spades is a game of skill, and randomly throwing away a card in cut makes it more a game of chance, which is considered gambling. You need to designate a 2 of clubs/diamonds to be left out each game.

Dear Spade101, We are familiar with the features that you are describing. Those will be implemented in the near future. I advise you to enter Wikipedia.org and check out what they say about the rules we use while playing Cut Throat. Best Regards, Stephen Jones

Wiki says: "Spades for Three Players: There are no partnerships - players play for themselves. A standard 52 card deck is used, and each player is dealt 17 cards with a predetermined card thrown out (generally the two of clubs) or the last undealt card thrown out. Some play with the big and little joker included as the highest trumps, with each person getting 18 cards." There are no sources cited for this page on Wiki. Not sure why you would choose the last card thrown out if you want to promote this as a game of skill. You should at the least make this an option when creating a table.

I've been playing a lot of partner's here lately, trying to get it going and I think spadester should add some 500 point total games, no rounds, 30 minute time limit. Maybe like 1 of each point total. Just a thought but maybe even like a best of 7 series room. Like $50 or something like that. Now since you have the chat we can communicate & be able to get people in it, plus it would be fun. That's what it should be all about, wouldn't be that much fun in a cutthroat or individual game style. Just partners, same for the 500 point total. Typically partner's is played to 500 so it would make since. But since myself and a couple other people are starting to play in it more and more often more people are as well and I think it could take off soon. It adds a little excitement other than just playing by yourself. Please look into these updates because a lot of us would like to see them. Thanks.

i agree, a great option would be to add , would be the time out if a player does not play in say 3-5 consecutive turns, the bot automatically runs the cards at a normal pace. waiting on 30 minute 300 games when one or more persons use the auto or leave is boring and a waste of time thanks j

Seeing some sort information that would allow you to see how many time certain individuals have played in the same game with each other or as partners in partnership games. It would help throw up the red flag in alot of cases. The chat leaves alot to be desired at this point also. And maybe some quick tips for beginners, let them know that second place pays the same as fourth place lol.

a feature that would allow us to see the other persons info on who they have played against, and what is their won-loss record that would help us stray away from people who have shady credentials

Dear Spadebum, Please send us an e-mail to Support@spadester.com to receive your win/loss log. I am afraid that for now this is the only way to go about such a request, meaning providing such information manually. I will see to it that our technical staff gets your suggestions and will keep you posted accordingly. I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you all that due to a national holiday please allow more time for us to respond to e-mails and requests in general. Live person will be operational in a few days as well. I apologize for the inconvenience and wish you all Happy holidays. Enjoy Spadester! Stephen Jones Account Manager

Please change the program speed so when the computer is playing out the game for someone who left. It is extremely stressful to have to sit and play out a game after someone leaves the table. Computer speed up would also let everyone at the table know when a player is no longer there. Playing with the computer wouldn't be so bad if it didn't take so long.
